Benchmark your VPS performance
Run an independent benchmark of your own server — CPU, disk, memory, network and ping — and see how it compares to other hosts. Your result is published to a public ranking automatically.
What this is
GeoMyIP helps you choose a host; putting one to the test is the job of VPS Observatory, our partner platform for independent benchmarks. You grant temporary SSH access to your server, the platform runs a suite of tests and publishes a transparent report in an open ranking. No guesswork — just the real numbers of your hardware.
How it works
You have a VPS with SSH access
Any server you have root SSH access to works — at this host or any other.
Provide access and run
IP, port (usually 22), root login and a password or SSH key. The platform connects and runs the benchmark.
Your result is published
In 5–10 minutes you get a report: CPU, disk, memory and network scores, plus a place in the hosting ranking.
What you need
Server IP address
The IPv4 of your VPS/VDS
SSH port
Usually 22
root + password or key
To run the tests on the server
5–10 minutes
A full run takes about that
Your password is used for a single connection and is never stored. Your server details are anonymized in the published results.
What gets measured
Processor
Single- and multi-thread CPU performance
Disk
Read/write speed and storage IOPS
Memory
RAM bandwidth
Network
Link speed and connection stability
Ping & latency
Latency to key internet points
Overall score
A single figure to compare hosts
